Asher Roth is someone that I really wish made more music! The vibe of his music is always on point. It’s all so thoughtful and well put together. I loved seeing this new release coming across my twitter feed. Asher Roth and CurrenSy talk about a match made in heaven. I’ve been lucky enough to see the both of them in concert several times and each show has been uniquely interesting. I feel like SXSW is a place where every one can come together in one place and the unifying element is that everyone has a love for music. I saw these two guy just chillin’ and hanging out in the crowd at a High Times Award show. Gotta love SXSW it always brings the most interesting stuff. Future “Fo Real” (feat. Drake) F.B.G. The Movie
This is a New release from Future that will be on his Mixtape Free Band Gang “F.B.G. The Movie that will be released this Sunday. This single was released earlier today and seems to be getting great feed back from those who have heard it. The song “Fo Real” features Drake and so far has a perfect 5.0 rating on HipHopDX. The thing with future is you either love him or hate him. His Song “Turn On The Lights” was the number one hip-hop/rap song for a few weeks and the reviews were mixed. Some saw it as the downfall of a genre while others loved the song. I couldn’t go anywhere without hearing it. Then it was like the world got enough and it disappeared Future released Pluto 3D in December a re-release of Pluto. The song “Fo Real” is already creating a buzz ahead of the mixtape. I’m interested to see what the overall feel of the Mixtape will be!

Wale “Heaven In The Afternoon” (New Song)
This has been a good week for Wale who released his new Mixtape Flolarin (Click to Download) earlier this week. I haven’t listened to all of it yet since I am on vacation right now and forgot my headphones at home. Listening to new music to review is hard as I have to find the time when everyone in the house is off doing other things since according to my Mom I listen to music entirely to loud (I wonder who I got that from LOL)! As I began this post I wanted to right about “Bad” the song that I keep coming back to on the Mixtape. The songs lyrics caused me to pause and look them up which is always a good sign. My favorite part of the song is what’s written below:
Bad girls ain’t no good, and the good girls ain’t no fun
And the hood girls want a smart nigga, college girls all want a thug
So it seems we fiend for what we don’t need
This is something that everone regardless of gender can relate too and that is the reason that I like it. The whole song is produced really well with a mellow sound. It features Tiara Thomas who Co-Produced the track with Kelson. The mixtape is worth checking out and like stated in my previous post I always look forward to new Wale music.
While researching music for this post I noticed that Wale also released a new Single today called “Heaven In The Afternoon” it was released at 3 pm eastern time via Twitter and YouTube. So If you ready for some NEW MUSIC click the video I think you’ll Like it!
